iSteady MT2 decent, some issues

I bought the iSteady MT2 for my mirrorless camera. The build quality feels solid and it stabilizes really well, which is what I needed. Delivery took about a week, which was fine. My only small issue is the app can be a bit clunky sometimes when connecting, but once it's going, it works. Overall, a good value for the price.

Detailed thoughts on iSteady V3 Ultra

I ordered the iSteady V3 Ultra a couple of weeks ago. The ordering process on their website was straightforward, no hiccups. It arrived in about 5 days, which was quicker than the estimated 7-10 days, so that was a nice surprise. The packaging was secure. Setting up the gimbal was fairly intuitive; the quick start guide helped. I used it for some outdoor vlogging, and the stabilization is very impressive, even when I was walking quite fast. The AI tracking worked well most of the time, though it occasionally lost me in very busy backgrounds. Battery life seems consistent with what was advertised. I also purchased the carbon fiber extension pole with it, and it feels sturdy and extends smoothly. Compatibility with my iPhone 14 Pro Max was flawless. I haven't needed customer support, so I can't comment on that aspect. Overall, a solid piece of kit for content creation.

Good deal on iSteady XE

I was looking for a new smartphone gimbal and found the iSteady XE on sale. With the first order discount, it was a really good price. Got free shipping too which saved me a few bucks. It felt worth the purchase.

Love my new iSteady M6!

Got the iSteady M6 and it's fantastic! The AI tracking sensor is super accurate, and the magnetic fill light is brighter than I thought it would be. Setting it up was simple, and it works perfectly with my phone. I'm already planning to get one for my brother for his birthday. Definitely shopping here again!

How long does shipping usually take to California? Need an iSteady V3 Ultra pretty quick for a trip next month.

C Chris 1 month ago

Mine got to LA in about a week and a half, maybe less? Was pretty standard for stuff coming from overseas, I think.

B Beth Foster 1 month ago

It can vary a bit but usually not more than 2 weeks to the west coast. They ship pretty fast once it's out the door.

Anyone know if the iSteady MT2 works okay with a heavier phone like the iPhone 15 Pro Max? Worried it might be too much for it.

P Priya G. 2 months ago

Yeah, it should be fine. Those gimbals are usually designed to handle heavier phones, especially the newer models like the MT2. Balance it properly and you're golden.

N Nina Kaur 1 month ago

I use a different Hohem model with my S23 Ultra and it manages well. The MT2 is pretty robust, so 15 Pro Max shouldn't be an issue.

Can I return an iSteady V2S if I don't like it? Or am I stuck with it if it's not what I expected?

T Troy J. 2 months ago

Yeah returns were easy, did it last month. Just make sure to read their policy, you usually have a window.

E Elena Hughes 2 months ago

As long as it's within the return period and in good shape, you should be fine. I've heard good things about their return process.

Thinking of grabbing an iSteady M6, anyone know if the 10% off codes from those YouTubers still work? Or should I just wait for a bigger holiday sale?

C Chris Lindqvist 1 month ago

Yeah, I just used one last week for my iSteady XE2, the code from 'GimbalGuru' worked fine. They're usually good for a while.

B Ben 1 month ago

i think you can only use one code, so if you got a newsletter one too, you gotta pick. holiday sales *can* be better for older models but M6 is pretty new so prob not a huge difference yet.

Are these gimbals actually good? I keep seeing ads but wondering if Hohem is legit or if I should just bite the bullet and get a DJI.

A Alex 2 months ago

Hohem is totally legit, man. I've had an iSteady M7 for months and it's been rock solid. AI tracking is surprisingly good too.

E Elena S. 2 months ago

I had a DJI before and honestly, Hohem holds up really well, especially for the price. Support was decent when I had a question too.
